James is a Cornish Cinematographer working internationally on narrative feature films, documentaries, commercials and music videos. He recently won Best Cinematography at Cambodia IFF 2024 for Satu - Year of the Rabbit (2024), which he photographed on S16mm film. His work has won and been nominated for awards at multiple BAFTA and OSCAR qualifying festivals around the world. James has travelled extensively throughout his career and he is passionate about exploring different cultures through storytelling that centres human emotion and connection. He recently worked as the lead Cinematographer with Martin Scorsese on his latest documentary Shipwrecks of Sicily.
